Use Train Libre widgets and quick actions
Add Train Libre widgets to your device’s Home Screen for at-a-glance information, or use a shortcut to open a logging or workout screen.
Add an iPhone or iPad Home Screen widget#
Train Libre Home Screen widgets require iOS 18 or later. The app itself supports older iOS versions, but these widgets are available only on iOS 18+.
- Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons move, then tap Edit and Add Widget (the wording can vary slightly by iOS version).
- Find Train Libre in the widget gallery and choose a widget: Today at a Glance, Quick Actions, Steps, Measurements, Muscle Readiness, or Last Workout.
- Choose a size where the gallery offers one, tap Add Widget, then place it and tap Done.
- For Quick Actions, Today at a Glance, or Measurements, touch and hold the added widget and choose Edit Widget to configure it. Quick Actions lets you choose the shortcuts shown. Today at a Glance lets you choose Same as the app or Calendar day. Measurements lets you choose a metric and timeframe.
- Tap a widget to open its related screen in Train Libre. In Quick Actions, tap an individual shortcut to open that action.
The available information depends on what you have recorded and enabled. For example, Steps needs step tracking, Measurements needs measurement entries, and Last Workout needs a completed workout. If the widget has no data yet, open Train Libre and record or enable the relevant information. See health data and integrations, measurements, and statistics.
Add an Android Home Screen widget#
Train Libre provides Today at a Glance, Quick Actions, Steps, Measurements, Muscle Readiness, and Last Workout widgets on Android. Android launchers use different menus, so the exact steps vary by device.
- Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, then open Widgets.
- Find Train Libre, choose a widget, and drag it onto the Home Screen. Your launcher may instead ask you to select a widget and tap Add.
- If the widget opens a setup screen, choose its options and save. Quick Actions has four action slots; Measurements lets you choose a metric and timeframe; Today at a Glance lets you choose Same as the app or Calendar day.
- Tap the widget to open its related screen. Tap an action inside Quick Actions to open that shortcut.
Available measurements and displayed data depend on your recorded entries and enabled tracking. If a widget shows no data, open Train Libre and check the related diary entries or tracking setting. See health data and integrations, measurements, and statistics.
Add an Android Quick Settings tile#
Quick Settings tiles are available on Android; they are separate from Home Screen widgets. Each tile opens an action in Train Libre.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings, then tap the Edit button (often a pencil).
- Find a Train Libre tile in the available tiles. Available actions are AI Meal, Scan barcode, Start Workout, Add Measurement, Log Intake, Add Liquid, and Add Food.
- Drag the tile into your active Quick Settings area, then close the editor.
- Open Quick Settings and tap the tile to launch that action in Train Libre.
The AI Meal tile is available in the tile list; enable AI Meal Capture in Train Libre before using it. See set up AI Meal Capture for its requirements.
Refresh and availability#
Widgets show a summary from the last time Train Libre updated their data. They refresh when relevant information changes in the app, but the operating system controls when widgets redraw, so a change may not appear immediately. Open Train Libre if a widget looks out of date; avoid relying on a widget as a live display.
Train Libre’s Android app requires Android 8.0 or later. Home Screen widget and Quick Settings availability can also depend on your Android launcher and device software. On iPhone and iPad, Home Screen widgets require iOS 18 or later.
