Choose food catalog settings
Choose which regional product catalog Nutrition Explorer searches and which language Train Libre uses for its built-in food names.
Choose the product catalog region#
- During setup, use Select Region and choose the country where you buy groceries. To change it later, open Profile > Settings and scroll to Nutrition & Data.
- Tap Food database region. Search or scroll the country list, select a region, then tap Save. The available regions are Germany, Switzerland, United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, and Austria.
- The selected region changes the Open Food Facts source used for product search. The change applies on the next catalog refresh or import. To start that process manually, tap Update Databases in Nutrition & Data and follow the progress screen.
Choose the language for built-in food names#
- In Profile > Settings > Nutrition & Data, tap Base food display language.
- Choose Follow app language, English, German, French, Italian, or Japanese, then tap Save.
- The choice controls the language used for Train Libre’s built-in food names. Follow app language uses the app’s language, with the selected region used as a fallback when needed. A language change takes effect after the food catalog is imported again on the next app startup.
Update the databases manually#
In Profile > Settings > Nutrition & Data, tap Update Databases to check for updates to the food and exercise databases. This opens the update screen; wait for it to finish. Train Libre confirms when the databases have been updated.
