Create and reuse recipes
Save a combination of foods as a recipe, then log a portion to your Diary whenever you eat it.
Create a recipe#
- Open Nutrition and find My recipes, or open Nutrition Explorer and select Recipes.
- Tap Create recipe. You can also save foods already listed together in a Diary meal: expand Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack, then tap Save as recipe below the entries.
- Enter a Recipe name. In the editor, tap Add ingredient, choose a food, enter its Amount in grams or milliliters, and tap Add. Repeat for each ingredient.
- Optionally enter Servings in recipe, Finished weight after cooking, and Notes. The finished weight helps scale a portion by cooked grams; servings let you log a fraction of the recipe.
- Tap Save. A recipe needs a name and at least one ingredient.
Ingredient search uses the foods available in Train Libre. For help finding or creating individual food entries, see Log food and review calories and macronutrients.
Edit, duplicate, or delete a recipe#
- Open Nutrition Explorer and select Recipes, or locate the recipe under Nutrition > My recipes.
- Open a recipe to review its ingredients and nutrition totals. Tap Edit (the pencil) or use the recipe’s options menu and choose Edit recipe.
- In edit mode, change the recipe name, serving count, cooked weight, notes, or ingredient amounts. Use Add ingredient to add foods; remove an ingredient with its delete control. Tap Save.
- To make a copy or remove a recipe, open its options menu and choose Duplicate recipe or Delete recipe, then confirm deletion if prompted.
Log a saved recipe#
- From My recipes or the Recipes tab, tap Add food on the recipe. Alternatively, open the recipe and tap Add food.
- In the confirmation sheet, choose the date, time, and meal type. If the recipe has serving information, adjust Servings eaten; you can also adjust the total amount and ingredient amounts.
- Tap Save to log the ingredients in Diary. Each ingredient is recorded as food for the selected meal, grouped under the recipe name.
The recipe remains available for future logs. Changes to a recipe template do not rewrite food entries already recorded in your Diary. For ordinary food logging and daily totals, see Log food and review calories and macronutrients.
Share or import a recipe#
Use the recipe’s Share option to share it. To add a shared recipe, open Nutrition Explorer > Recipes and tap the import icon in the top bar. Importing from this list adds the recipe to your collection. Importing while editing an existing recipe replaces that recipe’s contents. For AI photo, voice, and barcode capture, see Meal Capture Pipeline.
