Create and follow a training plan
Create a weekly schedule or repeating sequence from your saved routines, then start and review planned sessions.
Create a plan#
- Open Workout and tap the Plan card. If you have no plan yet, tap Create; otherwise tap the plus button in the plan screen.
- Enter a plan Name, then choose Week or Sequence:
- Week assigns routines to fixed weekdays and repeats every week. Missed days stay on their original weekdays.
- Sequence repeats a day-by-day order of 1–14 days. A missed workout remains next until you complete, partly complete, or explicitly skip it. New sequences start with three days; use Add day or the remove and drag controls to change the length and order.
- Tap each weekday or sequence day, then choose a saved routine or Rest. A plan needs at least one routine.
- Tap Save and activate. The plan becomes active and is ready to follow.
You can keep multiple saved plans, but only one can be active. To switch plans, open Saved plans in the plan screen, choose an inactive plan, then choose Resume or Start over. To pause the active plan, open Manage plan and choose Deactivate. Its history remains available.
Follow the schedule#
- Open Workout and tap the Plan card, or open the planned session card in the Diary. The plan screen shows the schedule and a selectable week calendar; tap a date to see its routine and status.
- On a due workout day, tap Start or Start workout. The usual live workout screen opens with the planned routine. For instructions on recording sets and finishing, see Track a workout.
- To leave a due workout uncompleted, tap Skip and confirm. It is recorded as skipped and the plan moves on.
- Completed and partly completed sessions show their outcome on the plan calendar. Tap View workout to open the saved workout details. A session is partly completed when you save a started workout without completing all prescribed sets; extra sets are retained too.
For a past planned workout, the app asks you to confirm Make up this past planned session now? The workout starts now but remains assigned to its original planned day. Missed sessions do not create catch-up workouts automatically.
Add rest days and edit a plan#
Choose Rest for a day while creating or editing the schedule. Rest days appear in the plan but do not have a workout to start or skip.
To edit a plan, open Manage plan and choose Edit. When saving an edit, choose whether it takes effect Today or at the Next cycle. The plan keeps past session instructions as they were when those sessions were planned. If you edit a routine from a plan day, you can choose Change routine only or Update plan too.
Set workout reminders#
- Open Profile > Settings > Notifications.
- Turn on Remind me on workout days, then choose Reminder time.
Reminders are optional and scheduled on your device for upcoming workout days in the active plan. Rest days and missed past sessions do not generate reminders. Allow Train Libre to send notifications in your device settings for reminders to appear. Pausing or changing the active plan updates the scheduled reminders.
For the scheduling and session outcome rules in more detail, see Manual Workout Plans.
