Log caffeine and other supplements

Record a supplement dose in Diary, then review its daily total and any goal or limit you set.

Log a dose#

  1. In Diary, tap + and choose Log Intake.
  2. Select Caffeine, Creatine Monohydrate, or another supplement from the list.
  3. In the dose sheet, enter the amount in Dose. The field starts with that supplement’s default dose; the unit appears beside it.
  4. Tap the date or time to change when you took it. The initial time uses the selected Diary date and the current time.
  5. Tap Add. The entry is included in that date’s supplement total.

The dose must be greater than zero. To correct or remove a saved dose, tap that supplement’s card in Diary, then edit or delete the entry in its log.

Create or manage supplements#

  1. Open Nutrition from the bottom navigation and tap Supplement Tracker. You can also tap a tracked supplement card in Diary and choose Manage supplements.
  2. In Supplement Tracker, tap Create Supplement.
  3. Enter a Supplement Name, Default Dose, and Unit. Units available for a custom supplement are mg, g, IU, ml, and l. You can also set an optional Daily Goal, Daily Limit, and notes.
  4. Leave Currently enabled to show the supplement in the Diary’s daily tracker, or turn it off to keep it available for logging without showing it there. Tap Save.

The built-in Caffeine supplement always uses mg. In Supplement Tracker, tap a custom supplement to edit it; delete it with its card’s delete action. Deleting a supplement also deletes its history. Turning off Currently hides it from the daily tracker without deleting its logs.

Log caffeine from a drink or food#

When you log a drink or liquid food with caffeine information, the app also records the calculated caffeine amount in Caffeine. For a drink, enter caffeine per 100 ml in the drink’s Caffeine (optional) field when needed. The amount logged is based on that value and the drink quantity; editing the drink updates its linked caffeine entry. Avoid adding a second manual Caffeine dose for the same drink.

For adding food and drink entries, see Log food and review calories and macronutrients.
